My Jerry Maguire Moment

A few months ago, I was talking with one of our Advisors about a prospective client and I had my “Jerry Maguire” moment. What many clients don’t realize is that they have options. The broker they have been using for years may not have been versed on the most current technologies or they may simply not have the customers’ best interest at heart.

My grandfather was a WWII vet and he once told me that he treated his customers, family, and relationships as he wanted to be treated. That was how to be successful in life. I will never forget how many people were at his funeral. There were so many strangers standing around the funeral home once all of the chairs were taken up. Later that day, I asked my grandmother who all the people were? She told me that they were my grandfathers customers. One in particular, came up to me and explained how my grandfather had always treated him fairly and honestly. This led to a relationship spanning decades. My grandfather knew that if you are principled and sincere in your dealings with others then the long term rewards would be more satisfying and equitable. This is how we run our company.
